Works of An Intern

Promoting the new #FightLikeAGirl campaign! The lovely Ms. JFab, running with some of the best of them. Don't let her looks fool you. She's as fierce as she's beautiful. I like this. It just has a good feel to it

This past week with Freestyle Komics has been a well appreciated and much needed break from the normal workload I find myself with. Thanks to my week off, I've been able to put my best foot forward with my classes, especially with the school-wide Sophomore review taking place throughout the next couple of weeks. By being able to focus all of my time on these recent pieces it gives me a better chance to meet proper standards.

Sketch Sunday

Welcome to Sketch Sunday, featuring the works of FSK Intern Mackenzie Fields! This week we've got one of the new promotions for Freestyle Komics she's arranged. Who says that fighting like a girl is a bad thing?

The Work of an Intern

During this week, my assignment was to digitally color one of our powerful and beautiful heroines. It is TITAN! Sporting one of her other color schemes. It was fun knowing that I am contributing to a cool organization such as Freestyle Komics. This is just a first in the creative works that I could be working on in the future. Love the characters and love the work

2/15/15

Working with Freestlye Komics continues to be a good experience, letting me look forward to the podcasts every Thursday and upcoming conventions to take part in. The workload combined with steadily increasing work from my college classes continues to be an issue, making it difficult to continue with a level of work that I am satisfied with and still meets requirements. It's beginning to become taxing, resulting in skipped meals and lack of sleep. I have to figure out where my priorities lie and maybe start calling work done before I'm satisfied with it. 60% quality and 100% done is better than 100% quality and 60% done after all. It will be a new challenge figuring out where it's appropriate to cut corners to meet deadlines, and still deliver quality work.
